Terriers Fall To Stars / Stamps Trade

The Yorkton Terriers kicked off their road swing with a 5-0 loss in North Battleford. I know 5-0 looks bad, but trust me, it wasn't a 5-0 hockey game. Battleford scored their first two goals less than a minute apart, both on the PP, one was a 5-on-3, and their last 3 goals all came in the last 6 minutes, including two 27 seconds apart in the final minute.

The 50 minutes in the middle, the Terriers were the better team, and out-shot the North Stars 33-27 on the night, Kyle Birch getting the shutout for BAT, the Stars' first of the season.

Yorkton's in Kindersley tonight (WED), 6:50 Pre Game Show, 7:00 face-off.

Ed Zawatsky Post Game

Ran into Chilliwack Bruins Coach/GM Marc Habscheid before the game and he was nice enough to come on during the second intermission.

The Swan Valley Stampeders have re-acquired F Ryan Griffiths from the Steinbach Pistons. The 20-year-old had a team-high 17g and 31p with the Pistons. Going the other way were 18F's Tyler Peers and Francois Houde.

Griffiths was in the lineup on Tuesday, when the Stampeders fell 3-2 in Wayway.
