After losing their first 5 games away from home to start the season, the Yorkton Terriers have now won their last two, after last night's 4-0 win in Estevan.
The Terriers got 4-points (2g, 2a) from Clarke Breitkreuz, including a short-handed goal, while Kevin Stringfellow (1g, 1a) and Nick Dietrich also scored, while Joel Danyluk became the second Terrier goalie in 4 nights to record a 39-save shutout. Luke Boechler turned the same trick Saturday against La Ronge.
I spoke with Breitkreuz after the game and talked about his 4-point performance, and got his thoughts as he prepares to leave for the World Junior 'A' Challenge this coming weekend.

The Melville Millionaires had a confidence-boosting 2-1 (SO) win over the visiting Weyburn Red Wings last night.
Logan Herauf scored in regulation, while Matt Kinnunen provided the only goal in the shootout, and Brady Wilyman made 38 saves on 39 shots in regulation and overtime.
With Yorkton beating Estevan, Melville getting the extra point against Weyburn, and Kindersley losing in La Ronge, the Sherwood standings are now:
Weyburn 20
Yorkton 16
Kindersley 12
Estevan 12
Notre Dame 11
Melville 10
