Pistons Win Second Straight Over Wayway (SO)

For a third straight game, the Wayway Wolverines managed just one goal, and this time dropped a 2-1 (SO) decision to the visiting Steinbach Pistons.

Ryan Regel scored his 4th of the season and 10th point for Wayway in his 10th game of the season, while Ryan Griffiths (pictured) scored Steinbach's only goal in regulation, and the only goal of the shootout, giving the Pistons their second straight win. Griffiths, the former Swan Valley Stampeder had 9g-6a-15p in 9 games, and has at least a point in all 9 games with his new club. On a personal note, having sat across from Griffiths on the Stamps' bus last season, it's great to see him finding success. And, while Stampeder fans might be thinking they're getting burned... don't forget the deal brought D Brent Wilson the other way... so it's fair to say the trade's worked very well both ways.

The Wolverines are now 2-7-0-1 on the season, and have scored 19 goals in 10 games played. Jayme Janzen made 32/33 saves in regulation and overtime for Wayway.
