We're Goin' To 7!

The Terriers and Millionaires will play a 7th and deciding game Tuesday at Melville Stadium to decide who'll face the Weyburn Red Wings in the Sherwood Conference Final.

The Mils took a page out of the Terriers' book, erasing a third period lead, and went on to win, this time in regulation.

After a scoreless first period, Yorkton's Derek Derkach opened the scoring on the powerplay late in the second. Melville's Levi Lind answered with an early powerplay goal in the third period, before Michael Jordan banged home a Matt Kinnunen rebound with 1:48 left in regulation.

The Terriers out-shot Melville 40-31. Joel Danyluk took his first loss of the playoffs, while Travis Bosch made 39 saves for the Mils.

Melville played most of the game without 20 year old defenseman Casey Dion, who took a stick RIGHT THROUGH his lip. He went to the hospital where he required 20 stitches, and wasn't able to get back in time for the game. He is expected back for Game 7. Brayden Metz and Kelly Friesen also did not dress for the Mils, and are question marks for Tuesday's series finale. The Terriers were without defenseman Clark Byczynski due to an injury, while Torey Stott was a healthy scratch.

Game Seven... Tuesday in Melville... 7:15/7:30 on GX94.

Since it's not letting me upload Jamie Fiesel's post game interview (maybe so no more fines occur!), here's a quote I'd pick out.

"Good teams have to steal one now and then. It was a must-win for us, I was just proud of the guys for never quitting, and guess what? We've still got a chance. I think we were in the grave, and they were just putting the final nails in the coffin and we decided to beat our way out, and we're still alive."
