Lots of Local P.O.W.'s

The SJHL announced its Players of the Week today, and Yorkton Terrier goaltender Devin Peters was named Goalie of the Week. Peters (left), led the Terriers to two 2-1 wins over the Kindersley Klippers on Friday and Sunday. He made 57 saves on 59 shots in the process, for a save percentage of .966%. The rookie from St. Andrews, MB has 17 wins on the season.

Austin Krahenbil (right) of the Melville Millionaires was named Defenseman of the Week. The hometown Melville product's proving his selection to the Sherwood Confernce starting lineup at the All-Star Game last month was no fluke, as he put up 2-goals and 5-points in 3 games last week. Both the Mils and Terriers are 4-0 in February.

Swan Valley Stampeders' forward Myles Stevens (left) was named Player of the Week in the MJHL on Monday. Stevens had 5-points in an 8-3 win over Beausejour on Saturday, and in total, put up 9-points in 3-games this past week. The Stampeders are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, but are eligible to bring back nine 20-year-olds next season, including Stevens.

The Norway House, MB product leads the Stamps with 23-goals, 43-assists, 66-points, 10-poweplay goals, and 17-powerplay assists in 50 games.

But you gotta admit Devin's getting his tires pumped pretty regular on here this week!
