GX94 Playoff Broadcast Schedule (So Far)

Decisions are in.

As usual in the playoffs, any night there is a game, we'll be doing a game, and just like the regular season, our focus will be on road games. When there are two games per night (and there usually is with Yor/Mvl and Way/Por), we'll try to have a second announcer in that rink calling in with updates, and possibly play-by-play during intermissions if time allows. It sounds like Randy Atkinson will be doing that for sure this Friday, and on Tuesday. Here's what we're doing. Games listed first are our featured games, which we'll have from start to finish.

Friday, February 27
Wayway @ Portage 7:45/8:00 Game 1
(Yorkton @ Melville 7:30 Game 1)

Sunday, March 1
Melville @ Yorkton 5:45/6:00 Game 2
(Portage @ Wayway 7:30 Game 2)

Tuesday, March 3
Wayway @ Portage 7:15/7:30 Game 3
(Yorkton @ Melville 7:30 Game 3)

Thursday, March 5
Melville @ Yorkton 7:15/7:30 Game 4
(Portage @ Wayway 7:30 Game 4)

We're taking a "wait-and-see" approach for the rest of the two series, depending where each of them are at... but here are the rest of those schedules.

Saturday, March 7
Yorkton @ Melville 7:30 Game 5 *if nec
Wayway @ Portage 7:30 Game 5 *if nec

Sunday, March 8
Melville @ Yorkton 6:00 Game 6 *if nec

Monday, March 9
Portage @ Wayway 7:30 Game 6 *if nec

Tuesday, March 10
Yorkton @ Melville 7:30 Game 7 *if nec

Wednesday, March 11
Wayway @ Portage 7:30 Game 7 *if nec

Well, it's looks like that Melville Executive member who was giving you hassle about broadcasting Home Mill games during the playoffs will be happy with your broadcast schedule.

I should hope so! In one sense it'd be nice to do all the games in that series because we're the only radio station covering either team, while Portage will be doing all the games in the Wayway series... but I also understand we've gotta be fair to all our teams and that's why it was decided to do Games 1 and 3 of the Wayway series since they're on the road then.
