Happy New Year For Mils

The Yorkton Terriers out-shot (41-33), and probably even out-chanced the Melville Millionaires on New Years Day, but Mils' goalie Travis Bosch (pictured, left) had an answer for 40 of Yorkton's 41 shots as the Mils downed the Terriers 4-1.

Kale Dolinski (pictured, right) scored twice for Melville, while Shane Stanicky and Daniel Hope added the others. Dolinski and Hope each hit the 20 goal mark yesterday. Stanicky notched his 14th, while Corey Silverson scored his 6th to get Yorkton on the board in the second period.

Devin Peters took the loss, making 29 saves on 33 shots, while both teams struggled on the powerplay. The Terriers went 0/7, the Mils were 0/5.

The Mils (27-9-3) stay 4 points up on Weyburn for top spot in the Sherwood, after the Red Wings beat Estevan 3-1 to keep pace. Yorkton sees their 5-game winning streak end, as they fall to 20-13-5.

The two teams meet up again tomorrow (SAT) in Yorkton, 7:30 at Farrell Agencies Arena.
