Danyluk Shuts Out Nipawin

NIPAWIN-- Joel Danyluk blanked the Nipawin Hawks on 25 shots to pick up the Terriers' first shutout as the season, as Yorkton opened their 2-game trip with a 2-0 win in Nipawin.

Danyluk wasn't terribly busy off the bat, with the Terriers out-shooting the Hawks 12-2 in the first period, and 10-0 at one point. His first save was a Brent Ottmann breakaway midway through the first.

The only two goals of the game came 1:24 apart, when Bryan Hull got his 3rd, and Torey Stott netted his team-leading 14th early in the second period.

The Terriers wrap up their mid-week swing tonight in Melfort... catch the Pre Game Show at 7:20, Play by Play at 7:30.

The Melville Millionaires lost to Weyburn for the first time this season, falling 4-2 on the road. Preston Shupe scored twice for the Red Wings, including an empty netter, while Matt Kinnunen and Logan Herauf replied for the Mils. The two teams are once again tied for first in the Sherwood, with the Mils having 3 games in hand.
