The way the first period went, it looked like it'd be an old fashioned shootout... but the after the Terriers took a 3-2 first period lead, they tightened up defensively and held on for a 5-2 win over the Nipawin Hawks.
Nipawin took the first lead of the game, when Shawn McNulty beat Joel Danyluk 4 minutes in.
From there, the Terriers never trailed again, scoring 3 times in the first and twice in the third.
Rylan McDonnell, Derek Serdachny and Cody Zubko all had a goal and an assist... Travis Coghill had two helpers, while Brett Holloway notched his first SJHL goal, and Jordan Menke rounded out the scoring.
Yorkton's powerplay may have been the only downside, going 0-for-7... Nipawin was 0-for-2.
Joel Danyluk got the win, making 29 saves on 31 shots.
The Terriers continue their 3-game road trip in Melfort tonight (SAT).
