Portage 7, Swan Valley 2

This was a tough one for the Stamps.

Myles Stevens scored late in the first to tie the game 1-1 through 20 minutes, but the Terriers stormed back with 6 unanswered, 3 in the second, 3 more in the third, before Swan's Vincein Scott rounded out the scoring late to make it a 7-2 final.

Eric Delong is insane. Scored 3 Friday night, he's got 17-goals and 31-points in 13 games.

------------

Wayway won their third straight, 4-1 over the visiting Winnipeg South Blues. Paul Marcoux had 1-goal and 2-assists, while Jason Bowles scored twice. Jayme Janzen stopped 34 of 35 shots for the win.

-------------

The Yorkton Terriers got a point from the Humboldt Broncos, but the Broncos got two. The Terriers lost 3-2 in a shootout, with Shawn Shackleton scoring his first SJHL goal in the first period, and Kevin Stringfellow forced overtime with a late third period goal. Second straight game Stringer's done that. Devin Peters made 29 saves through regulation and overtime.

-------------

The Player of the Night in either league was Melville's Logan Herauf (pictured). The 18-year-old rookie had 5-points... 3-goals and 2-assists in the Mils' 6-5 victory over the Flin Flon Bombers. All 3 of his goals and one assist came in the first period alone. The Mils led 4-1 after one, but the Bombers mounted a comeback and led 5-4 early in the third. Tyler Murray scored twice 6 minutes apart in the final frame to restore the lead and get the two points.

Both teams used both their goalies in what was a good old fashioned shoot-out. Flin Flon's Calvin Bartel was yanked late in the first after Melville went up 4-1... Ryan Kerpan played the rest of the time. Melville's Travis Bosch was peppered with shots, and was also pulled after the Bombers got their third period lead. Riley Hengen didn't allow a goal in relief.
