The Yorkton Terriers finished with a 3-and-1 record in the pre season, thanks to a 4-1 win over the Estevan Bruins Friday night at Farrell Agencies Arena. David Skagen, Torey Stott, Corey Silverson and Brad Bienvenu scored for the Terriers, while 16-year-old defenseman Austin Bourhis had a pair of assists. In goal, Jordan Barry made 13 saves on 14 shots, and Devin Peters stopped all 17 shots he faced. The Terriers are now off for a full week before hosting the Weyburn Red Wings in their home and season opener Friday, September 12th @ 7:30.
On the Manitoba side of things, the Swan Valley Stampeders also ended their exhibition schedule with a win, beating the Wolverines 6-1 in Wayway. The Stamps were 3-and-2 during the Pre Season.
That's all for tonight... it's my last Friday night off in who knows how long... and I have some drinks calling my name over a few blocks from here.
Melville and Wayway play a home and home to round out their exhibition games, tomorrow (SAT) in Melville at 6:30, and Monday in Wayway.
T-minus one week! Get ready.
