Mils Grab Road Win on Opening Night

It was a nice homecoming for Tyler Murray.

The former Estevan Bruin scored the game winner for Melville with 1:36 to play in the third, and the Millionaires went on the road and won their first game of the year 3-2 over the Bruins.

The two teams traded goals in each of the first two periods... Brandon Sentes opened the scoring with his first SJHL goal in his first game... while Cory Demko got it back for the Bruins 4 minutes later. Second period saw the Mils powerplay convert when Aaron Decorby found the top shelf. Again, Estevan answered back when Kyle Stroh got his first of the year.

Then, just when it looked like overtime was coming... Murray put Decorby's rebound upstairs and the Bruins were unable to come back with the extra attacker.

The Mils' powerplay went 1-for-7... while their penalty kill was perfect in 6 Estevan chances.

Travis Bosch picked up the win... and the Mils are 1-and-0 heading into tonight's home opener against the Bruins... 7:30 at Melville Stadium.
