Unger Leaves Media Relations Post

This is a few days old now, but nevertheless, the MJHL is looking for a new Media Relations person, after Scott Unger left the position he'd held for over 3 years to take a Marketing and Communications job with the Beausejour Blades. I believe Scott went from a part-time position to full-time with the move. I've known Scott since my days in Dauphin and he's always been accommodating to me, as recent as last season at the MJHL All-Star weekend in Wayway, and he also helped me fill an overtime intermission in Portage during the playoffs. I wasn't able to make it, but Scott organized an MJHL broadcasters meeting in Winnipeg earlier this month, and was obviously focused on further improving things between the league and its broadcasters. There'll be some big shoes to fill, no doubt. Here's the release from the MJHL.

Note the long list of requirements for the "part-time" position. My vote? The geniuses on the MJHL Message Board who slammed half the things he did should apply. Just a thought.
