Ed Zawatsky: It's hard to believe, there's been some nice weather lately, but it's hockey time and the guys are rolling in tonight, we'll put them into teams and get right at it tomorrow (FRI) morning at 9:00. A lot of different guys who aren't on our list are coming to try out. Obviously with our finish last year, everything's up for grabs. We have a good, solid group of guys coming back, but also we've been able to bring in some guys that are going to come in here and compete for some jobs.
CS: Should be a competitive camp, with Jordan Barry you could have had eleven 20-year-olds coming in, I understand Stephen Martinuk won't be among them, but that still leaves 10, so there are going to be some 20-year-olds cut inevitably here.
EZ: Yeah definitely, I think that's when athletes perform their best is when there's urgency, and it's going to start tomorrow. The kids know what's going on, the 20-year-olds know we can only have 9. Obviously with Stephen Martinuk going to school, that drops one of them, but also it tightens things up and they've gotta be on their toes, and it looks like most of them are in very good shape and worked hard this summer, but that's just the nature of the beast, that one or two of them won't be a Terrier this year.
CS: How 'bout guys in Western Hockey Leauge Camps. Clarke Breitkreuz had a goal in the Regina Pats' intra-squad game, he's still with the club, but the Pats did release Brent Struble who's a Terrier prospect, can we expect him at camp?
EZ: Yeah for sure, you can expect him here this weekend, he's a 1991 with a lot of promise. The trend has been the last few years to have 1 or 2, or last year we even had 3 underage (under 18) guys, so he's going to come in and compete for a spot. We have another kid in Everett, Drew McDermott, Leismeister's in Prince George, some guys that got into some action last year as "APs" are going to be in here competing for a roster spot.

CS: How 'bout other guys from last year, Joel Danyluk's in Prince George, and Kurtis Decker's going to a camp?
EZ: Yeah Kurtis Decker's in Edmonton, trying to get into the Western League, and with Joel in Prince George, it gives and opportunity for a couple local guys, Devan Byblow and Luke Boechler, those guys played Midget last year, and you never know what the Western League's going to do. With Jordan Barry (pictured, courtesy revelstokegrizzlies.com), I know he's in here slotted to be our #1 goalie, but hockey's always changing, and we've got some prospects in here who are going to compete for a goaltending spot also.
CS: What's the schedule as far as when you guys get going and how things wrap up Sunday.
EZ: We're going to start tomorrow morning, have 4 teams, we're going to have a tournament format with the finals wrapping up on Sunday. A local guy, everybody knows Norm, helps out around the rink, so we've named it the "Norm Cup" so that's what the guys will be competing for. It should add a little bit of excitement and enthusiasm for the older guys, and hopefully that'll filter down to the younger guys.
